Arsenal Transfer Rumour Update

facebooktwitterreddit

Another week closer to the World Cup and another week closer to the start of the Transfer window in England. So what’s the latest on Arsenal’s transfer involvement?

Serge Aurier

Liverpool are apparently intent on buying everyone this summer, if you believe the rumours that is. They are now being linked with (pretty much) Arsenal bound right back Serge Aurier as they look to add depth to their squad for Champions League football next season.

However it seems the Ivory Coast defender has confirmed his move to Arsenal unofficially in a video with a fan at World Cup training, where a fan asks if he is coming to Arsenal. If you doubt the legitimacy of the video below the defender himself went on to share the video later, possibly verifying he did understand what the fan asked him.

Cesc Fabregas

One week he’s set for Arsenal, the next he’s on his way to United, then he’s not for sale. No-one seems quite sure what is happening with the Spaniard at the moment, but he’s been linked with another club and you have to feel that he won’t be heading back to Arsenal.

  • Chelsea have apparently set about making Fabregas their long term replacement for Frank Lampard, who is leaving the club after 13 years. That means 4 Premier League clubs are linked with the midfielder, as well as former manager Pep Guardiola at Bayern Munich. whatever happens I don’t think it will be sorted out before the World Cup.

    Mario Balotelli

Another move that looks set to be done after the World Cup is that of mercurial striker Balotelli. The man is quite clearly talented but Wenger wants to see if he can keep his cool on the World’s biggest stage. Chelsea seem to have had the same idea as well and it will be interesting to see how the man performs under close scrutiny.
