Have Arsenal Already Completed their First January Transfer in Krystian Bielik?

With January fast approaching, deals are teetering on the brink of completion. One Arsenal transfer deal is said to already be done, as reported by the Telegraph.

His name is Krystian Bielik, and if you haven’t heard of him, that’s perfectly okay. The 16-year old is referred to as a Polish wonderkid, much like Norway’s Martin Odegaard.

Reports indicate that Arsenal have signed the youngster for 2,000 pounds a week, a huge raise from his 125 pounds a week. However, he may not be reporting to North London until the summer, due to his parent’s wishes.

There’s really nothing to dislike about this signing, if it is indeed confirmed. Arsene Wenger loves his youth system and adding anyone dubbed a “wonderkid” can’t hurt it.

He has the potential to be a prolific holding midfielder given his 6’2″ stature. Let’s just hope this isn’t Wenger’s holding midfielder answer.

He could be the next Patrick Vieira like everyone is saying but potential never got anyone anywhere, we’ll just have to wait and see. It’ll be another handful of years before he finds himself on the pitch at the Emirates.

As of right now, we still need a holding midfielder and a center back, so there’s that. But seeing as how January isn’t even here and we already “have” our first signing, I’d consider it a good sign.
