5 Arsenal Players Primed for Breakout Years
By Josh Sippie
5. Theo Walcott (as a striker)
This one is only at No. 5 because I feel kind of bad pegging Theo Walcott for a breakout year when he has broken out in the past, but the fact that he will be doing it at striker makes it a different kind of breakout.
Walcott has suffered through so many injury problems and as such, he has never been able to string any consistency together. When he returned from injury this past season, he scored a couple of goals and then pulled a major disappearing act.

He then went on to score a hat trick against West Brom and a pretty massive goal in the FA Cup final.
Arsene Wenger told the Arsenal team site that “The best way to strengthen other areas of the team is to get the players who did not play a lot last year and keep them fit,” and he pegged Theo Walcott as one of those players.
Walcott has always been a clinical finisher and his pace is to die for. If he can play an entire season, the sky is the limit for what he can put up as a striker.
