Jack Wilshere is so close to being elite that we can almost taste it. He broke out at the end of last season and he is the other guy that Wenger pegged as a crucial member of the team to keep healthy.

Wilshere has had to live with immense pressure and with the injuries he has incurred, he has not had a chance to live up to the expectations that were heaped on him. As such, he has been deemed a flop and mocked for his inabilities.

But what we saw at the end of last year and into the international competitions is what we can expect out of Jack Wilshere for the rest of his playing career if he can stay healthy. That starts next year. If Wilshere can continue where he left off, he could duplicate what Aaron Ramsey did in 2013/14 (his breakout season) and carry that on for years to come.

The only trick that needs to be mastered is health. The breakout comes hand-in-hand with health.
