Arsenal and Chelsea Position by Position Comparison to Prove that Arsenal Will Take Title
By Josh Sippie
Eden Hazard vs Alexis
The marquee match-up, or the second, equally as important marquee match-up next to Ozil and Fabregas. Hazard won the player of the year award as voted on by the players. He is one of the best players in the world and everyone sings his praises. With 17 goals, 9 assists and a pass completion of 87% it is easy to see why.
Hazard is the complete package. He passes, dribbles, shoots, dribbles some more and shoots again. Once he has possession he rarely loses it but if he does, you will not see him chasing many people down to get it back.

Alexis, however, is a hound. He wants the ball, and if you have it, he must have loaned it to you briefly, because you will not have it long. Everything that I said about Hazard can be said about Alexis, except for the lack of off-the-ball effort part.
The Chilean scored 22 goals and added 9 assists and was voted as the best player of the year by the fans. His stats are more impressive than his Belgian counterpart. His passing may have fallen off a bit, but Alexis kept Arsenal relevant without Giroud and without Ozil. Take away Costa and Fabregas from Hazard and I do not think you would see the same.
Verdict: Two of the best in the world. However, Alexis is more of a complete package and even in the areas that Hazard excels at, Alexis is right there with him. For that reason, Alexis is the better player.
