Arsenal Bench vs Chelsea Bench

Comparing the two benches is like comparing an apple to a much smaller, rotten apple. Arsenal have Santi Cazorla, Jack Wilshere and Theo Walcott who should all be starting and would be on any other team. Chelsea have Ramires, Falcao and Remy.

Arsenal have the upper hand by a long  shot in the depth department. Santi Cazorla may very well end up starting, as double digit goals and assists have become common place for the Spanish maestro. Jack Wilshere is looking more brilliant every day and if he can stay healthy, Wenger will not be able to sit him. Walcott, too, may be unsittable at some point, as his ability to play as a striker is quickly getting validated.

Ramires is a solid midfield option that can provide Mourinho with an option if Oscar or Willian drop out of form, but he is not better than anyone on Arsenal’s side of this battle. Falcao may never recover from his knee injury, as good as he once was, and Remy is like a poor man’s Diego Costa, which is not bad by any means, but it can’t stand up to what Theo Walcott can do.

Verdict: I think I made it pretty obvious. Arsenal by a long shot.
