Carl Jenkinson – West Ham
Carl Jenkinson had already made several appearances for the Arsenal first team when he was sent out on his first loan. Still just 23 years of age, he will look to take Mathieu Debuchy’s place and compete with Hector Bellerin when the time comes.

That being said, it would be hard to imagine a worse start to the year for the young right back. He acquired a yellow card in his first match of the season and was sent off in his second, where he played as keeper following Adrian being sent off. He committed an error that lead to a goal, completed less than 80% of his passes and notched just 1 interception and 3 effective clearances for a Hammer’s side that dismantled Arsenal (stats via WhoScored).
West Ham is off to an abysmal start since beating Arsenal, so it is not surprising that not a lot of guys are performing admirably.
