Arsenal’s Predicted Starting XI to face Newcastle
By Josh Sippie
Calum Chambers and Gabriel
Yep, our two rocks at the back are doubtful again, with Mertesacker still sick and Koscielny still hurt. That gives Calum Chambers and Gabriel Paulista another chance to show what they are worth. Better yet, it gives Calum Chambers a chance to reaffirm that his last match is not what he is worth.

Chambers had a terrible match, particularly in the first half, when he was giving the ball away like crazy. He did recover in the second half, so hopefully that form will continue.
Gabriel, meanwhile, quickly overcame some lapses in judgment to have himself an incredibly solid game full of crucial tackles and excellent aggression.
It appears to be just a matter of time before Gabriel makes the starting XI his permanent gig.
