2. Arsene Wenger is revealing more and more

With each progressive anticlimactic effort, Arsene Wenger is loosening up more and more in regards to his transfer policy. Not long ago, it was “we are looking, but not close,” then it became “I am working 24/7” but after the Newcastle game, Wenger said that they are very optimistic going into the waning days of the transfer window (via the Independent).

That is incredibly promising given that before the skid started for Arsenal, no signings were imminent, and for just cause, but even with a skid, Wenger is not one to hit the panic switch and sign people just to sign them but this may have pushed him over the edge.

Arsenal need help and they need it bad. Wenger is not usually so open about how much he is looking to make signings but he made it very clear after the Newcastle match that they are looking for help and he is apparently “optimistic” that help will be on the way.
