For the same cost as Jeff Reine-Adelaide, Fortune does not pack the same punch. At least not yet. Arsenal boxed out Manchester United in their pursuit of Fortune and landed the 16-year old attacker from Lens.

Yassin Fortune has that all-important versatility that Arsene Wenger loves. He can play any attacking position but has excelled as a striker. At the French U16 level he has made 10 appearances and netted 5 goals.

Fortune did not feature in the Emirates Cup like his long-time team mate Reine-Adelaide but the potential is still there. Arsenal’s striker crop has run towards the dry side as of late and it is good to see it reinvigorated with another ‘wonderkid.’
