Arsenal Vs Tottenham: North London Derby Predictions
By Josh Sippie
Jabari: Arsenal 2-2 Tottenham
After flying to Germany for a 5-1 pummeling at the hands of Bayern Munich, Arsenal face a huge game on Sunday against North London rivals Tottenham. With their Champions League aspirations looking all but over, Arsenal must focus their attention on keeping pace with Manchester City in the Premier League. The Gunners have their best chance to claim the highest prize in English football for the first time since 2003-04. In order to accomplish this we must maintain our stellar domestic form.
However with key injuries in defense and attack Arsenal will have to dig deep to pull out a result against Spurs this weekend. My heart wants to say that this will become Arsenal’s sixth straight victory in the league, but with the amount of energy we had to expend chasing Bayern, coupled with our growing list of injuries, my mind is telling me that this will be harder than usual.

Tottenham are in a decent vein of form, and as much as it aggrieves me to admit it, Harry Kane looks to be returning to his dangerous self also. Spurs are sitting right outside the top four and they’re going to be pushing hard to snatch points on the road. Their high pressing game may cause problems for us.
I expect a raucous atmosphere and a hard fought match before the international break. I’m going with a 2-2 Draw, goals from Alexis and Giroud, including another assist for Mesut Ozil. Harry Kane to score before half time and perhaps a late game equalizer off of a set piece from Toby Alderweireld . I believe that our general fatigue could cause lapse in concentration which might get the best of us in dying minutes. I hope I’m wrong though, would love to see us grab these three points.
After the international break Arsenal have some favorable matchups on the schedule. We play Aston Villa, Norwich and West Brom all away, and we also get Sunderland at home. We should look to put all of these teams to the sword if we have true title aspirations. With the players Arsenal hopefully get back from injury after the break, we can gain some momentum for a huge match against Manchester City at the Emirates on December 21st. The key to this game will be outlasting Spurs. (Goals: Alexis, Giroud, Kane, Alderweireld)
