5 Things We Learned From Arsenal Vs West Brom
By Josh Sippie
4. Hector Bellerin is human
The fact that we even had to learn this could probably be spun as a good thing. Although it would have been nice to go an entire career thinking that an Arsenal man was too good to be human. That is not going to be the case with Hector Bellerin. The young Spaniard looked similar to his floundering, debut self against the Baggies.
We have seen Bayern Munich attempt to break down Bellerin and fail, but at the Hawthorns, Bellerin almost broke himself down. He was giving the ball away early, just like the rest of the team. He was frequently caught in possession, which led to awkward circumstances given that he is one of the back four.
Not only that, but on the set piece that leveled the match for the Baggies, one could argue that it was Bellerin who got lost enough to give space for the goal.
Whatever the case, it is one set back. Bellerin has been injured, so we will give him a pass. Hopefully he does not hit a rut. It would be hard to imagine life without a speedy Bellerin effectively blistering down the sidelines.
Next we move on to another Spaniard. This time to one that continues to disappoint.
