1. Mesut Ozil is consistent
In the past, we were used to seeing Mesut Ozil disappear in situations where the team was down and out. Or when he was getting pushed around. While we may have come to the conclusion that Mesut Ozil has finally turned the corner, we had still yet to see him in a really tough scenario with all his weapons around him (we’ll throw out that Bayern Munich garbage). With the team really struggling to develop anything, it was Mesut Ozil who took control of the game. Again, he has done this recently and sporadically in the past, but to see him doing it in a game where Arsenal was desperate for a leader, it was inspiring.
