15 Arsenal Transfer Rumors To Follow In January
By Josh Sippie
1. Isco
I have become so enamored with this rumor that it is probably unhealthy. Since the Isco-to-Arsenal inception last January, the concept just seems so unbelievably perfect. I have outlined how many things tie him to an Arsenal move in numerous articles, but I will do it again.
For starters, he and Santi Cazorla played together at Malaga. It’s a natural succession. Secondly, he is so incredibly versatile. He has played five different positions at Real Madrid so far this year and according to WhoScored.com, he has played them all successfully. Thirdly, he is young (23), pining for first team play and widely regarded as someone who could develop into a special player. He pretty much already is one.
Not only all of that, but Isco has had several fall-outs with Rafa Benitez. Including one where he saw red after being left out of a starting eleven that was destroyed by their Catalan rivals.

Isco was passed up by Real Madrid when they signed James and Kroos. Yet he has remained faithful. The fans love him. Yet he cannot stick in the first team. All of that loyalty can pay dividends at a club that actually rewards loyalty.
Hopefully the Metro is on point with their report that Arsenal was recently scouting Isco. While he may crave a career at the Bernebeu, he, like Jese, have a long ways to wait. Injury fill-in is their duty. As such, seeking a new endeavor may not be so far-fetched.
