Aaron Ramsey and Alexis Sanchez

Here is where things get interesting. Very interesting. In the running, we have Alexis Sanchez, Theo Walcott, Alex Iwobi, Aaron Ramsey and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. All for two positions. It’s a shame that it was so easy to rule out the Ox and Iwobi, but I did that pretty quickly. Alexis was easy to pick for a midfield role too.

More from Pain in the Arsenal

So that left the big debate. The speed and resurgence of Theo Walcott or the enigmatic, potentially prolific Aaron Ramsey? It’s not an easy debate and it was made far tougher by Walcott being injured and Ramsey shaking off some rust against Ludogorets. I think that this is one of the only 50/50 situations I have ever tried to predict.

And I am leaning towards the Welshman.

Walcott has only just returned to training, so I could see him being eased in as a sub while allowing Ramsey the chance to stretch his legs a bit more and get re-acclimated to this new-look, full-throttle offense.

No doubt he had his troubles against the Bulgarians, but this is Tottenham and he will have had more time to return to fitness. I think we could see a good one for Ramsey.
