Rob Holding (England)

Total Appearances – 42

Positions Played – CB

Debut Season – 2016-17

Towards the end of the 2016-17, Rob Holding had established himself in the Arsenal line-up. He was also part of the 2017 FA Cup final where Per Mertesacker had led the Arsenal back-line to a vintage performance. What disappoints is that the former Bolton Wanderers man hasn’t really kicked on from there. The feeling remains positive though. It is also clear that Arsenal do see a future in Rob Holding, tying him to a long-term contract in May 2018, days after Wenger announced his resignation. Holding’s potential is undeniable, the only hope is that the incoming manager would be able to unlock it.

What does the new manager do? Integrate him into the first team.
