15. Hector Bellerin

Hector Bellerin has a funny, old season. His spat with the fans that stemmed from his rather reasoned criticism of Arsenal Fan TV, the vilification of his interest in fashion (how dare he have interests other than football), and his inconsistent form that led to a key mistake in the second leg against Atletico Madrid all conspired to produce a rather weird campaign.

His defending was poor throughout the season, regularly relying on his speed to get him out of trouble, and then his offensive production, that had made him one of the brightest prospects in world football a few years prior, also diminished. Just two goals and three assists in over 3000 minutes of league football is not great production for a full-back built on his attacking qualities.

One key statistic to note is the number of crosses he made, just 0.3 per game in the Premier League. That is his lowest ever per-game figure in the Premier League. His place is secure for now and his reliability should be praised — only Granit Xhaka played in more minutes than Bellerin in all competitions last season –, but improvements need to be made next season.
