Wide Attackers

This isn’t a match we can exactly “take easy,” so don’t expect there to be any playing down as far as personnel. Any chance of seeing Bukayo Saka again before the end of the year has probably gone down the tubes with the Gunners inability to lock down a first leg.

More from Pain in the Arsenal

But now that we’re here, might as well deploy the big guns and not leave anything u pto chance which Unai Emery has shown a tendency to do anyway.

Alex Iwobi and Henrikh Mkhitaryan were both left out of the starting XI against Manchester United, Iwobi because the formation didn’t fit him conveniently and Mkhitaryan with a slight injury. I fully expect both to start flanking Mesut Ozil (spoiler) in this one. The work rate of the both of them will help augment the attacking fullbacks while still providing enough attacking gumption to compliment Ozil and the striker (no spoilers) as well.

They had a habit of starting together for quite a few matches there and it worked out well enough to have faith in it here.

Last up, the No. 10 and striker.
