Arsenal vs Napoli predicted starting XI: This is the moment
By Josh Sippie
Back Three
This is where things get exciting, because for the first time in over a week, we have our full compliment of defenders available. Against Everton, we didn’t have Laurent Koscielny. Against Watford, we didn’t have Sokratis. Against everyone else except Watford, we didn’t have Konstantinos Mavropanos.
With that said, no matter if it’s a back three or a back four, I think it’s safe to say that Koscielny and Sokratis will both be starting. The team is vastly different when these two are together because it’s the only combination that involves two defenders that are both of the caliber that we need our defenders to be.
Since I am predicting a back three, that then leaves the left-sided centerback, where we will see Nacho Monreal, because no matter how much we use him, he is always a steady, if not unremarkable, presence, who can be counted on to do his job.
Don’t put Shkodran Mustafi in this match. As excited as I am about Mavropanos, I don’t see any great reason to run him out there either (unless there’s some last second injury and it’s between him and Mustafi).
On to the wingbacks.
