Centre-Backs

Arsenal. SOKRATIS . 6.0. Defended smartly up against Joelinton, aggressive as always, and communicated well with a young and relatively inexperienced Calum Chambers. That said, his passing was a little inconsistent as the Gunners failed to beat Newcastle’s high press time and time again Solid would perhaps be the best way to describe his performance.. CB

Arsenal. CALUM CHAMBERS. 6.5. Some really nice moments defensively, aided Maitland-Niles with Saint-Maxim later on, and showed some nice passing at times. The team as a whole failed to progress play, but Chambers was not the primary culprit, bar one or two wayward passes here and there.. CB
