Front Three

Arsenal. GABRIEL MARTINELLI. 5.5. Rickety. Struggled to find his best self. When the opportunities did come his way, he was caught trying to make the opportunity even better, which never worked out. He dawdled and the chance passed. But while his attacking play was disappointing, he did do a lot on the defensive end, fighting for the ball and winning it back more than anyone else on the team.. RW

5.7. Excellent wing work early on, staying wide, providing workable balls into the box. When his first chance came in the 14th minute, you’d have assumed he would put away easily, he had everyone beat. But like Lacazette, he scuffed it embarrassingly wide. Was made to look like chopped liver by Matt Lowton too many times. But the two early times he did beat Lowton, he couldn’t put the finishing touches on it. It came again in the 75th minute, his header not landing on target.. LW. Arsenal. PIERRE-EMERICK AUBAMEYANG

5.2. Had a beautiful chance just after the first minute. A wide open, uncontested header from about ten feet and he hit it about ten feet wide. Promptly disappeared. He was frustrated, flustered, stumped and fairly hapless throughout the match, with his best contribution being a nice delivery into Aubameyang in the 75th minute. This was his most frustrating match in recent memory.. ST. Arsenal. ALEXANDRE LACAZETTE
