2. Matteo Guendouzi

When Matteo Guendouzi shot out of the gates to start his career at the Emirates, no one was thinking of potential setbacks. He was too good. He was a true gem. He did literally everything and could be counted on to play any midfield role.

More from Pain in the Arsenal

Unai Emery saw to it that he was basically irreplaceable, but Mikel Arteta has been less than enamored with the youngsters. They even had a brief falling out.

Still, there’s a reason why Guendouzi’s transfer value went from nothing to £60m in half a season. Everyone sees the talent that he is, and we haven’t even fully scratched the surface of that talent yet. To sell now would be one of the worst decisions the club could possibly make.

Guendouzi’s future in the midfield is yet unclear, but given his skillset, he really could fit just about anywhere in any midfield set-up. He has ball carrier abilities, he plays defense, he has athleticism and he’s even got the creativity to make things happen.

So yeah, it would be completely asinine to sell.
