Arsenal, Mohamed Elneny

Mohamed Elneny (CM) – Dani Ceballos is a likeable figure. He has fantastic defensive work-rate and can also pull of some spectacular passes, it just often feels that when he isn’t completely ‘at it’ in terms of fitness, his overall playing level drops considerably. Rest him, start Mohamed Elneny.

Granit Xhaka (CM) – After enduring a tough night in Rome on Thursday, Granit Xhaka is a player who has been much talked about within the Arsenal faithful. However, in spite of the fact it appears he may need a rest, he has to start. Unless Thomas Partey is available, no one else is really capable of playing as the left-sided holding midfielder for Arsenal.

Hopefully Xhaka can reclaim his good form which was visible prior to the Benfica match.

Martin Ødegaard (CAM) – In front of Elneny and Xhaka, Martin Ødegaard should be given a chance to continue to build up his match fitness. It was a pleasure to watch the Norwegian in the Europa League on Thursday.

He operated he with a swagger with some delightful touches and brilliant passing. If Arsenal are to get anything out of Sunday’s game, it wouldn’t be surprising if it was a result of some Ødegaard magic.
