Positive #2 – William Saliba, Gabriel & Ben White

Arsenal’s three top centre-backs were on the pitch at the same time in the second half and despite not being tested much, it was a good sign of things to come for Arsenal’s defence.

It’s very exciting to have William Saliba back but, as of right now, I don’t know if he displaces Ben White in the XI. White played at right-back in the match as he has before for the Gunners and if Takehiro Tomiyasu is unavailable, he is my choice for the role.

I am excited to see the three of them develop and how they’re deployed this season.

Negative #2 – Absences

It was a bummer to see a few faces missing from the match today. Marquinhos is a player that many have been excited to get more of a look at and he, unfortunately, didn’t play.

Emile Smith Rowe wasn’t suited up for the game, as well as Fabio Vieira and it would have been great to be able to watch these players in the match.

Hopefully, they’ll make their returns from minor knocks against Chelsea this weekend.
