2. Ethan Nwaneri
Nwaneri did not take long at all to show why Arsenal have placed their faith in him and given him a shiny new contract. Making the most of the Gunners early dominance, today was an opportunity for Nwaneri to show off his skills and make an early bid for a place in Arteta's strating line-up. He certainly grasped the nettle.
This was a great start to pre-season for Nwaneri. He was a constant threat through the middle and took the pressure of the team by wriggling away from pressure in tight situations.
In the 22nd minute, Nwaneri nearly opened the scoring with a brilliant effort. Taking a Christian Norgaard pass on the half-turn and deceiving his marker, Nwaneri created enough space to get a shot away. His left footed effort was destined for the bottom corner before it was saved brilliantly by a diving Pietro Terracciano in the Milan goal.
