Italian champions Juventus are refusing to give up on reported Arsenal target Gonzalo Higuain. Reports in the British media suggest that a deal for Higuain at Arsenal is close and that the Gunners are willing to smash their transfer record in order to bring him to the Emirates.
Juventus are in the market for a striker and Higuain wants a move away from Real Madrid this summer. If the British media are to be believed, Arsenal could have the transfer wrapped up fairly soon. Some are even saying that he has agreed personal terms with the clubs, others suggest he has just a medical to pass before officially becoming a Gunner.
Real Madrid have no manager in place which could complicate things a little and there is still interest from Juventus, who could be looking to swoop in late for him.
Juventus’ general director Giueseppe Marotta said the following about the Argentina international:
“Higuain? I do not want to say anything because there is still so much time left for things to happen.”
