Arsenal Transfer Rumour Update including Iker Casillas

It’s been another long week for transfer rumours and Arsenal have been the centre of many of them, simply because everyone in football is aware that Wenger is looking to spend. So who has been linked with North London this week?

Iker Casillas

The Spanish goalkeeper has been heavily linked with a move away from the Bernabau since being replaced as 1st choice goalkeeper for the Champions League winners, but resisted a move in January to stay with the Spanish giants. Arsenal seem to be looking for a new 1st choice keeper after Fabianski’s move to Swansea left them short of decent cover, which would move Szczesny to 2nd choice keeper. If the Spanish legend can be signed for a reasonable price then I think this would be a decent move and would provide some real quality in goal.

    • Hulk

    In Arsenal’s search for a winger it seems only fair that perpetual rumour victim Hulk has been linked with a move to the club from current side Zenit St Petersburg. Hulk has been linked with the Premier League in every transfer window for the past 3 or 4 years so I don’t think there’s much substance to these rumours and I’m not sure he’s the type of player Wenger is after anyway, however the next player on this list seems to be a decent match.

    Lorenzo Insigne

    The Napoli left winger was in fine form last season as he contributed 11 assists and 9 goals in 51 appearances last season, and he would add a lot to Arsenal’s attack. He offers genuine width and pace down the wing which would help Arsenal as their attack this season has often become to narrow in the absence of a genuine wide-man. He has said he is ‘honoured’ to be linked with Arsenal and as he is available at around £17m he could well be a decent purchase.
