SP*RS SCHADENFREUDE, EUROPEAN EDITION

Well, joining the list of mighty clubs that have passed Arsenal in the league hierarchy that somehow have all crashed out of their respective competitions whilst Arsenal Crisis Club progressed to the Champions’ League knockout stage, is that other club from North London, none other Tottenham Hotsp*r.

The wolves were circling earlier in the season for Arsenal, ready to write yet another obituary for the club and yet now, the mighty Manchester clubs and now Sp*rs all see themselves looking up at Arsenal (and €hel$ki) in European competitions.  Pundits will now make the excuse that “oh yeah, Harry Redknapp will now be able to concentrate on the league and not worry about a competition no one cares about.”

Amazing how people don’t care about a competition as soon as they get knocked out of it, isn’t it?  ‘Arry for England!
