Always Humorous How Transfer Rumors Can Be Invented From Nothing

First, the rumor/possibility that Thierry Henry may return to Arsenal on loan and now comes the completely equivocated story that Cesc Fàbregas may return to Arsenal… someday.  Maybe.  Or not.  Obviously, this is yet again a story where a juicy soundbite was created on an out of context quote from the Spaniard.

But hey, it’s the Holidays so let’s just revel in the ludicrous thought of both Henry & Cesc returning.  Santa, make a late delivery and make this happen, big guy.

As for our current legends, Wenger is faced with the dilemma of possibly starting all three games over the Holiday period.  Obviously, RvP at the moment is in incredible form, he’s the club captain and given the current form of the rest of our strike force it does make for a conundrum for Wenger.

We all know RvP’s glass jaw injury history is a concern but as we are likely to face a stern fight for the Top 4, I’m not sure that Wenger can take RvP out of the lineup without risking dropping points.  Plus, facing Wolves, who have can play a rough-and-tumble style, some concern over Van the Man’s long-term fitness is certainly there.

And as far as RvP chasing the Premier League for most goals in a calender year, that is certainly just a secondary concern.  It’d be nice but that certainly is not the main issue here.

Finally, there was a bit of shakeup today in the Premier League as Man €ity stumbled to a nil-nil draw with West Brom and ManUre dominated Wigan 5-0.  Also, Chel$ki dropped points at home to Fulham, 1-1, so the Gunners can leapfrog the Blues into 4th with a win against Wolves tomorrow.

Come on you Gunners!
