Niang Set For Arsenal Trial
By Tom Humphrey
Arsenal look set to bring Caen star M’Baye Niang to the club on a trial basis over the summer. The 17-year old has a bright future in the game and has been linked with other Premier League clubs, including Newcastle and Stoke. Wenger has made his move for the starlet though and believes that he can get his man, despite Caen wanting him to stay:
"“What I say in relation to him is simple, he has talent – yes, does he have the potential to make a career – yes,” he said.“But is he doing the right thing for this at the moment – no.”Asked if he would be using him next season – “If he is here I will count on him, he leaves tomorrow we won’t.” – Caen coach Patrice Garande on Niang’s future."
The youngster netted twice last season and was heavily linked with moves to Man City, Tottenham and Juventus earlier in his career, so this would be something of a coup for the Gunners.
