Yennaris signs contract extension
By Tom Humphrey
Nico Yennaris has signed a contract extension with the club today. The youngster, who grew up an Arsenal fan, made his debut for the club in last October’s League Cup win against Bolton, before coming on as a sub in the FA Cup game against Leeds and making his Premier League debut from the bench against Manchester United later that month.
He was also a regular in the reserve side, making 17 appearances for them last season. He had a brief loan spell at Notts County late on in the season, which gave him much needed first-team experience. He featured regularly in pre-season, in both the Markus Liebherr Memorial Cup and also the club’s Asia Tour.
Yennaris will be looking for more games in the first-team this year. I expect to see him feature in both League Cup and FA Cup games and perhaps we will see him get loaned out during the season to a team in the Championship.
