Landed Safely, player updates since my flight.
By Tom Humphrey
Hello,
Just to tell all you guys that I have landed safely in Chicago and after about 2 hours of queuing, I am here for just under 3 months. Good news today is that I have sorted out the ‘soccer’ package so will be able to keep up with my beloved Arsenal whilst away from home.
Some news whilst I have been on the plane and settling into the States is that Theo Walcott has failed to reach an agreement with the club over a new contract. Talks are still ongoing between Arsenal and Walcott’s representatives, but it is believed that if the two parties can’t reach an agreement, he will be sold before Friday’s transfer deadline, with Man City believed to be interested.
Other news at the club is that Henri Lansbury has joined Nottingham Forest on a permanent deal and young defender Daniel Boateng has joined Oxford United on loan until January.
The Champions League group stage draw is taking place tomorrow. I will post the draw details on the website when I can.
