Busy weekend for me as Arsenal players on international duty
By Tom Humphrey
Here is an update on how Arsenal players fared on international duty this weekend:
Gervinho: Scored an equaliser against Senegal and won a penalty too as the Ivory Coast won 4-2 in the African Cup of Nations qualifier.
Abou Diaby, Olivier Giroud and Laurent Koscielny: Diaby scored the only goal in France’s 1-0 win over Finland, whilst Giroud and Koscielny were unused substitutes.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Theo Walcott: Walcott replaced Chamberlain in the 58th minute of England’s 5-0 win over Moldova on Friday. Both played well.

Santi Cazorla: Cazorla opened the scoring in Spain’s 5-0 win against Saudi Arabia. Spain face Georgia in a World Cup qualifier on Tuesday.
Thomas Vermaelen: Vermaelen played the full 90 in Belgium’s 2-0 win over Wales.
Aaron Ramsey: Ramsey captained the Wales side that lost to Belgium in the game mentioned above.
Johan Djourou: Djourou played 90 minutes in Switzerland’s 2-0 win against Slovenia.
Lukasz Fabianski: Fabianski was an unused sub in Poland’s 2-2 draw with Montenegro.
Francis Coquelin: Coquelin was sent off in the 75th minute in France U21’s 2-1 loss to Slovakia on Friday.
Meanwhile, away from football, I had a busy weekend. Yesterday I went to watch my Chicago Bears against the Indianapolis Colts yesterday in a game we won 41-21. I was lucky enough to watch the Bears last year when they visited London to play the Bucs. Now I have seen them in Chicago, something that has always been a dream of mine. To say I’m 2-0 and haven’t seen them lose live is a great feeling. I had a very busy weekend, hence why I couldn’t post on here.
I was at Soldier Field this weekend to watch my NFL team, the Chicago Bears.
