Cazorla voted fans’ player of the month

Santi Cazorla has won the EA Sports Player of the Month award after winning the fans’ vote. Cazorla received an incredible 72.3% of the votes, with Abou Diaby picking up 9% of the voting and Mikel Arteta coming third with 5.4%. Votes for any other Arsenal player combined added up to 13.3% of the votes.

Cazorla put in impressive displays in the two goalless draws against both Sunderland and Stoke, before he put in another good display at Anfield against Liverpool that saw him score his first goal in an Arsenal shirt. Diaby was a deserving runner-up having come back from injury and for me had his best game in an Arsenal shirt at Anfield, as well as also playing well in the other games.

It looks to me as if the fans got the vote right this month. I hope that both Santi and Abou can keep up their good form for the rest of the season, we’ll need them to.

Cazorla has made an impressive start to his Arsenal career. Long may it continue.
