Arsenal and Southampton meet in the league for the first time since 2005 tomorrow afternoon. Southampton have gone down as far as League One before successive promotions saw them back in the Premier League. Southampton have yet to register a point upon their return to the league, but they have faced both Manchester clubs in their opening 3 games and came close to pulling off an upset against both. Arsenal drew their opening two games 0-0 before getting an impressive win against Liverpool at Anfield, a result they will be looking to build on against the Saints.

Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny is back again following a rib injury. Vito Mannone put in good performances against Stoke and Liverpool, but is likely to give up his place in goal to the Pole. Theo Walcott will be assessed for the game against his former club with a virus and Abou Diaby 50-50 to play after picking up a hip injury on international duty.

Szczesny should be back in the starting lineup having missed the last two games.

Gaston Ramirez and Maya Yoshida could make their Southampton debuts, whilst Danny Fox has overcome an injury. Guly Do Prado is set to be dropped after a drink driving incident this week.
