Arsenal’s under-19’s progressed to the quarter-finals of the NextGen Series (the under-19 equivalent of the Champions League) when they knocked out holders Inter Milan with a 1-0 win on Wednesday.
The result set up a tie with Russian side CSKA Moscow in the quarter-finals. Today the club announced that the game will take place at the Emirates Stadium. It is a one-legged tie that will take place on March 25th with kick-off at 7pm.
Tickets will go on sale on Monday at the price of £4 for adults and £2 for concessions. However, Arsenal members can get a discount on the ticket prices. If you are an adult member it will cost you £3 and if you are a member that falls into the concession category then you can get in for just £1.
This is a bargain price for fans. If you live in London and want to watch a game of football, I would really encourage you to go and watch this game, particularly those with children. It’s a cheap game to watch at a great stadium and if you live in London, it’s going to cost you no more than a tenner I’d imagine.
I remember my Dad used to take me to watch Youth Cup games at Highbury when I was young. Yes, it’s not the first-team, but it was a good standard of football being played. I remember seeing a young Jermaine Pennant and thinking he would be a star one day. Whilst he did go on to have a decent career, I would say he disappointed overall.
