Miyaichi returns from injury against Everton, then gets injured again
By Tom Humphrey
Ryo Miyaichi made his return from a long-term injury at the weekend in Wigan’s 3-0 FA Cup quarter-final victory at Everton. The Japanese international has made only 7 appearances all season for Wigan due to injuries and came on as a sub 5 minutes before half time.
Unfortunately for Ryo, his return didn’t last very long. He was taken off in the second half after picking up another injury. He had to be taken off on a stretcher so it doesn’t look good for him. This season must have been a very frustrating one for him, as he had a successful loan spell at Bolton towards the end of last season and was no doubt looking forward to a full season of Premier League football this year. Injuries have unfortunately prevented that from happening.
I wish Ryo all the best in his recovery.
Ryo’s loan spell at Wigan has been ruined by multiple injuries.
