Denilson ‘agrees’ Sao Paulo deal
By Tom Humphrey
Former Arsenal midfielder Denilson is reported to have agreed to join Sao Paulo on a four-year contract.
The Brazilian has spent the last two seasons on loan back in his homeland with the club and Arsenal ended his contract a year early, making him a free agent.
Despite interest from clubs across Europe, Denilson has opted to stay back home in Brazil with Sao Paulo. He joined Arsenal from Sao Paulo in 2006 and had two years on loan as mentioned above. This would make it yet another spell at Sao Paulo for Denilson, so there is no doubting that he really feels at home there, his city of birth.
