Andre Santos set for permanent Flamengo deal

Arsenal’s Andre Santos is on the verge of a permanent switch back to Brazil with Flamengo. He fell out of favour at the club after a series of poor performances and was sent on loan to Gremio in February.

Rumours online suggest that Santos will have his contract at Arsenal terminated and as the Brazilian transfer deadline is fast approaching, the deal should be done quickly.

Flamengo’s director of football said the following about the deal:

"“The Arsenal document we were waiting has come. Everything is agreed between the player and the club. We are just waiting for the document that authorises the transfer to announce him, it should come by Friday.Andre Santos is already at the club’s hotel for the medical.”"

Santos had the following to say about the deal:

"“The feeling couldn’t be better, as I am very happy with the achievement of playing for a great club like Flamengo. I feel like a winner. I hope to make history here, be champions and help Flamengo win many games and titles.” – Andre Santos on his upcoming transfer to Flamengo."

Andre Santos is set to join Brazilian side Flamengo.
