Luiz Gustavo to Arsenal rumours hotting up

Arsenal are in talks with European champions Bayern Munich regarding a move for their Brazilian midfielder Luiz Gustavo.
The two clubs have opened discussions and rumours emerged online last night stating that the two clubs have agreed a fee for him. Arsene Wenger confirmed at the weekend that the two clubs were in talks over a possible deal after the pre-season friendly win against Man City at the weekend.
However, Bayern Munich’s CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge claims that Gustavo has more than one club interested in him. He is quoted by Abendzeitung Muenchen as saying the following:
"“Luiz has offers from England, Spain, Russia and Germany. The player has not made a decision, yet,”"
Reports also came out from Italy stating that Napoli are keen on signing Gustavo. If he was to join Napoli, it would be the second player that they have signed ahead of Arsenal this summer. Arsenal were heavily linked with Gonzalo Higuain earlier in the summer, but Napoli, who received £55.5m for Edinson Cavani from PSG earlier in the summer, outbid Arsenal for Higuain and sealed a £34.5m deal for him.
If Gustavo joins Napoli ahead of Arsenal, that would be two talented players the club has missed out on, two that could really have helped Arsenal improve on their 4th place finish last season.
