Arsenal and Puma agree massive kit deal
By Shea Garber
Arsenal FC have agreed a deal with clothing manufacturer Puma, a five year kit deal worth 150 million pounds.
The deal will commence in July of this year, with Puma supplying the Gunners with kits and sponsorship for 3o million pounds per year. Of the deal, Puma CEO Bjoern Gulden remarked: “I would not be surprised if in summer we’re working with the defending champions.”
This deal marks the end of Arsenal’s 20 year partnership with clothing giants Nike. Puma were clearly swift and willing to pay a premium to be the face of Arsenal going forward, as Nike supplies Manchester United, Adidas supplies Chelsea, and Under Armour does so for Tottenham.
