Bayern Munich after Ramsey, according to reports

Only two days after his extra time winner in the FA Cup final and Ramsey is already being linked with moves away from Emirates to one of the top European teams.

Pep Guardiola, a long time admirer of Arsenal’s style of play, is apparently a big fan of the Welsh midfielder according to BTSport. This comes after Bayern left Croatian striker Mario Mandzukic out of the squad for their German cup final clash against Dortmund amidst reports English teams would be his chosen destination for a summer transfer .

So will Arsene let him go? Wenger is renowned for his unwillingness to let players go unless they want to go and Arsenal’s good financial position the club is under no pressure to sell for monetary gain. The Arsenal faithful have a new hero in Ramsey after he ended the 9 year trophy drought and to see him sold, even in a player + cash deal, would not sit well.

It remains to be seen if Bayern will be stubborn with a deal involving Mandzukic without Ramsey moving to the Allianz Arena, but Arsene will hopefully come to the conclusion that there are other strikers available purely for money, and spending a little more to acquire one of World Class calibre will be nowhere near as big a loss as losing Ramsey.

In other rumours, James Milner is apparently choosing between Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham and Everton after his contract at Manchester City is up in the summer as teams look to add some fight to the midfield.

Arsenal are also reported to be interested in PSG midfielder Jeremey Menez, another player who is being released in the summer as PSG try their best to conform to Financial Fair Play.
