Santi Cazorla has become the latest player to endorse Cesc Fabregas’ proposed move back to Arsenal after rumours of him moving to other Premier League clubs intensified.

He’s a great player and they really love him there

The Spanish midfielder was full of praise for his compatriot and dismissed claims that he would struggle to readjust to the Premier League and that the love the Arsenal fans have for Fabregas should be the deciding factor as to which Premier League club he ends up at this summer.

“I’ve read that he could go to Chelsea but I’d prefer him to come to Arsenal because he’s a great player and they really love him there. I don’t know what his future is, but I hope that he will be happy and enjoys the team wherever he is.”

  • “I don’t think there’s a big difference between Cesc’s performances in the Premier League and La Liga. His statistics are great at Barcelona but he’s not valued the same as in England. There’s no difference in his numbers, he’s adapted perfectly to both leagues.”

Arsenal fans are split on the decision when considering bringing the Barcelona midfielder back to North London, with sentiment coming up against pragmatism when deliberating over the pros and cons of such a move. However if Arsenal want Fabregas they will have to move quickly.

Chelsea have reportedly agreed terms with the midfielder and are now going about agreeing a fee with Barcelona who are holding out for around £30m for the player.
