Transfer Market Shut: What’s next for Arsenal?

Man what a day. I’ve been non stop refreshing my twitter feed all day and checking all types of free agency trackers. I have no idea what they tried to explain at college today, in all honesty I was zoned out. But we can be happy with how the day turned out. Wenger didn’t disappoint (sadly Van Gaal didn’t either. Lucky duck.) After the break, a recap on my take of the transfer market and our newest GUNNER!

It’s been one hectic day, but as the transfer market closes we can finally breathe. Arsenal signed somebody to help the team. After hours of countless rumours, the team signed

Falcao

Higuain

Reus

Carvalho

Khedira

Welbeck. I really thought this deal wasn’t going to go through but I’m glad it did. I read something about the team rejecting him and I saw myself in December, with the team in 6th place, laughing at how we were linked with big names such as Falcao and Reus and we ended up with…Sanogo. Thank the Lord all those nightmares got shattered. Welbeck is one heck of a signing but it isn’t going to solve all the problems.

Defensively this team needed a strong body. A defensive midfielder such as Khedira or Carvalho or even Kondogbia would have been great for this team. We have the final roster for Arsenal until January, and hopefully it all works out well. I wasn’t too excited about Welbeck at first but he definitely adds a new dimension to the offense. He’s really quick and the team finally can rely on a striker that doesn’t require an empty net to score (Yes Giroud, that’s for you.)

The market is shut, and the season really begins now. No excuses anymore, it’s time for football. Hopefully as time progresses, Walcott comes back better than ever, Alexis keeps increasing his level and Welbeck makes Manchester United regret getting rid of him.

What’s your opinion guys? Is Welbeck the solution at striker? Can he replace Giroud eventually? What is really next for Arsenal?
