Arsenal Must Get Out of The Wastelands
In the face of adversity, the legendary General Wenger finds himself in a Wasteland with most things against him. Will his allies be there to help him? Fierce warriors such as The Ox-Man, Alexei “The Great” Sanchez, Mesut ” The Maestro” Ozil, and the newcomer Danny “The Daddy” Welbeck (hey, that’s all I could think of for him) are available right now while many other starring men are out injured. The war has just started but the Army of the Red is slowly losing their main front-line. What can the veteran leader Wenger do? Can this army manage to bounce back?

Well, how about that introduction? It describes the situation as accurately as possible. Arsenal faces a lot of challenges, mainly due to the injury bug which has come and bit us in the ass again, in what is a very tough and hectic week starting out with the game against Galatasaray in the Champions League and the weekend thriller against Chelsea.
This team is probably without Jack Wilshere, Aaron Ramsey and Mikel Arteta (hopefully he is back soon even though I dislike him). With the latest results, faith is being lost…and it is being lost quickly.
“Nobody who ever gave his best regretted it.” – George Halas
And THAT is a huge mistake.
If there is one thing Arsenal has proven to us fans, it’s is that even though it may seem impossible with every single odd against us, this team is capable of stepping up when it is required. Every single man, ranging from the coaches, to the players, to the front-office, and even to the ball-boy must believe in their capacity. There is a solid team with solid players and it starts with them.
Looking at it positively, Ozil is stepping up and seems like he is gaining the form we want him in. The-Ox shut us up by saving the game against Tottenham and Alexis is on fire even though he may seem lacking at times.
But the key to bouncing back depends on one man – Theo Walcott.
Even though he isn’t the best player in the world, he’s vital to Arsenal. And we need him. Not only does he make the team better in a matter of personnel, but he also motivates. Getting a guy who’s been part of this team for a while back, who also has an important role of leadership in the locker room is huge for the team. Even though things may look difficult right now, in time, we will be out of this Wasteland we are in.
Trust me…things could be worse (QPR?!)

I may seem like some crazy pessimistic writer with that title, but it is a representation of where this team is at right now. Ties against dangerous teams aren’t bad…but they aren’t good either. To win a title, you have to gain all the points. To be a dangerous Champions League threat, you have to beat the teams that are favorites to win it.
Arsenal is a GOOD team, and shouldn’t have tied with Tottenham and shouldn’t have gotten abused by Borussia Dortmund. The change starts NOW and it starts not with the skills of every player; by their ability to maintain their composure and keep believing in themselves and the system they are executing. And as George Halas once said, “Nobody who ever gave his best regretted it.”
This is a message to every fan and every player. Don’t give up. Don’t be negative. This year is the year of the Gunner and let the ball roll.
