BREAKING: Theo Walcott to Return for Arsenal
Finally some good news. After a little more than nine months, Theo Walcott is set to return to the field after a devastating injury against Tottenham last season. The situation is sensitive so Wenger wants to ease him into action. He would be set to return on Friday with the Under-21 squad against Blackburn along with the probable return of Serge Gnabry.
Walcott ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament in January in the 2-0 victory against Tottenham and hasn’t featured for the team since. With his probable return on Friday, it becomes possible that he travels with the team for the Champions League clash against Anderlecht.
Along with these, we were told that Ramsey was progressing well with his hamstring and could return soon. Arteta has returned to training and is expected to be back in full form in a few days. The Hull City match is a long shot for both of them but there could be a return for the match up against Sunderland next week.
In other injury news, Koscielny has been declared out for this week and creates the possibility of Monreal making his first start at centre-back. Ozil is sidelined until 2015 and Giroud is ahead of schedule and could return before the New Year.
Expected lineup for Hull City:
Wojciech Szczesny | Kieran Gibbs, Nacho Monreal, Per Mertesacker, Calum Chambers | Mathieu Flamini, Jack Wilshere | Alexis Sánchez, Santi Cazorla ,Oxlade-Chamberlain| Danny Welbeck
