Mesut Ozil Digs in, Proclaims Arsenal Loyalty

Mesut Ozil is the most hotly-debated man that suits up for the Gunners, and his position at Arsenal has oft been questioned. But attitude and passion can go along way. One of the main reasons Jack Wilshere has so many fans is because he lives and dies for his club. Ozil’s latest tweet should win him some fans at the Emirates. Take a look:

Not only does he dig his cleats in for Arsenal, but he tossed a little jab at Bayern Munich as well with that #MiaSanArsenal, which in English means “we are Arsenal” instead of the German giant’s classic “we are who we are” chant.

The injury to Ozil came as a massive shock and his game at Chelsea was a heaping disappointment as he was made a fool by could-have-been-Arsenal-man Cesc Fabregas, but that’s neither here nor there. How Ozil returns following the injury is all that matters. He had strung together some really good games, particularly pairing up with Danny Welbeck.

Many said that with the return of Theo Walcott, Ozil’s usefulness would continue to skyrocket. But this injury puts him out until early 2015. That means he’ll be the last Gunner in a string of injuries to return. Which also means he’ll return (God-willing) to a full strength Arsenal team, fully equipped with all their flying wingers and conducive midfielders.

From there, it’s all on Mesut Ozil to finally establish consistency inside the physicality of the Premier League.
