Alexis Sanchez’s Frustrations with Arsenal, Ozil, Completely Warranted

facebooktwitterreddit

According to the Chilean publication La Tercera, Arsenal’s new star man Alexis Sanchez is frustrated at the Emirates (in case you couldn’t tell by his goal  celebrations). Not only that, but he has reportedly called out Mesut Ozil, claiming he lacks discipline.

The Metro’s translation of the article indicates that Alexis is unhappy with the level of support in general, especially pertaining to Mesut Ozil.

It’s on the pitch that the frustrations arise, and this should come as no surprise. Alexis has no support as of late.

While Alexis has made no response to the claims within his Native country’s publication, is he really so wrong?

If you look at Arsenal’s production, it has all come by the hand (or foot rather) of Alexis Sanchez, who engineers every attacking play, scores all the goals and those that he doesn’t score, he sets up. He has to feel isolated, like he’s doing it all on his own.

All of the Arsenal players, Chamberlain, Welbeck, Arteta, Flamini, even Ozil, have pointed out how much of an asset Alexis is. They’re singing his praises left and right. But this little report does not bode well.

Alexis has showed frustration on pitch. When pressing the ball against Sunderland, he stood alone and earned the goals – alone. His passes that find team mates in scoring positions often go awry. So frustration is not exactly a startling outcome. He refused to celebrate the goals against Sunderland because they were gifts given to him (although still earned).

More from Pain in the Arsenal

Arsenal have quality players. Why Cazorla is skying every single ball and why Ramsey can’t seem to connect cleanly is beyond me, these are world class guys and Alexis must know this. Perhaps this is the source of his frustration. The return of Theo Walcott is coming at just the right time. It could be the beginning of a wonderful partnership and hopefully one that will provide Alexis the support he needs.

There is no rift off the pitch, which is good. It’s on the pitch that the frustrations arise, and this should come as no surprise. Alexis has no support as of late. He really doesn’t.

This is all heresay from a Chilean source, but it doesn’t come as a shock if true. Hopefully this frustration can be turned positive and doesn’t turn into off-the-field problems. Because without Alexis, Arsenal would be a sinking ship.
