Arsenal Must Drop Under Performers, Danny Welbeck, Cazorla
By Josh Sippie
It used to be that Arsenal had no leeway as far as who to start, but now that players are returning from injury, we have the power to drop players that are under performing in favor of those players who come on as subs and make a dynamic impact. Santi Cazorla and Danny Welbeck top that list of people who need some bench time.
The unfortunate duo were the only two players to look blatantly awful against Burnley, in a game where their quality should have shone brightly. They missed chance after chance.

When the subs came on in the 80th, Lukas Podolski and Theo Walcott made their presence known immediately. Both came as quite a surprise, given that Theo had been out for nine months and Poldi has been a bit uninspired. But they both looked possessed of some notion of driving Arsenal to greatness.
Podolski has been urging Arsene Wenger for more playing time, and after two rocket shots that should have been goals, I think he’s earned it. He should be in the starting lineup against Anderlecht, not Danny Welbeck. Podolski made more of an impact in ten minutes against Burnley than Welbeck has in his last two games.
And then there’s Cazorla, perhaps the biggest shock so far this season. having not scored in 22 straight Premier League matches, his frustration is undoubted, but he had so many chances, golden chances, open-net chances, and he blew them all. It’s time to give him some thinking time and let Walcott take the reigns, because the number one thing I want to see right now is more Walcott.
Also, can Aaron Ramsey please step in front of Mathieu Flamini on the squad? Ramsey looked steady against Burnley and no one questions who the better player is.
What say you, who needs to make way?
