Arsenal Injury Crisis: Walcott, Kocielny and Welbeck Unfit for Manchester United
By Josh Sippie
Stop me if this sounds familiar. There is a fresh new Arsenal injury crisis on our hands. After seemingly being given good news all year, with everyone ahead of schedule, Theo Walcott and Danny Welbeck have both fallen onto hard times. Walcott, who has been inexplicably missing playing time after a great showing at Burnley, has a fresh new groin strain from training with England. He’s out yet again.
Danny Welbeck also picked up a hamstring injury while playing in England’s friendly against Scotland. He’s a major doubt to suit up against his former club, which is vengeance he most certainly wanted to feel.

And then there’s Laurent Kocielny, who nobody really knows anything about. He’s still out, but more out then he was in his previous update.
What this does to Arsenal is incredibly bothersome. We are well-acquainted with Manchester United’s injury woes going into the game, but now Arsenal may be equaling their woes.
With no Walcott, a jet-lagged Alexis Sanchez, a Danny Welbeck who may not even be fit to play, and an Olivier Giroud who’s just now back from injury, Arsenal’s attack is looking incredibly shaky.
However, it’s not all bad. With Ox and Sanchez still on the pitch and Wilshere overflowing with confidence, Arsenal still have weapons aplenty. Aaron Ramsey has a lot to prove and after an impressive Welsh showing against Belgium, his confidence should be up as well.
The main hit in this news is Walcott. Just when we thought we were going to have him back, he’s gone. It’s like being handed a cake for your birthday, and having it stomped into the ground before you could get so much as a taste of the icing.
